Why did you cover Siouxsie and the Banshees “Hong Kong Garden” on the album?
UFFIE: Well, I needed more songs [Laughs]. I’m going to be honest! I really like rock as well, so I thought it would be really fun to whip out my favorite rock song. I lived in Hong Kong, so it was a fun double-side to the track. SHOCKHOUND: Has living all over the world influenced your music? UFFIE: Yeah, even now, I’m playing with amazing artists from all over the world. It definitely gives me more of an international sound. This record is really international, and I think everyone could really relate to it in a way. I’m doing a proper album tour in November, so everyone will get to see it. I’m booked in France every weekend until August then Japan and Australia. Then we’ll come to the US. SHOCKHOUND: No time to rest… UFFIE: Dude, I don’t sleep anymore! I’m actually back in the studio with Mirwais. We’re working on a song that I think is the best song I will ever make. It’s so dope.
