Why did XOSKELETON® risk a new design concept, when other companies are content to produce slight variations on the designs of older, established watch companies?
We wanted to build a watch for the 21st century, something that was aesthetically beautiful and immediately recognizable as an original design. We are confident that once the true collector – the watch connoisseur – sees an XOSKELETON® timepiece, its authenticity and originality are evident. Our engineers started with the anatomy of the human wrist. With the trend toward ever larger watches, stabilizing the watch on top of the wrist has become a challenge as increased mass and a less than optimal center of gravity make the watch top-heavy and uncomfortable to wear. We designed an architectural structure that surrounds the top half of the wrist, creating an ergonomic balance for a large-size wristwatch. XOSKELETON® watches are more than time keeping devices. With an extreme attention to detail, and produced in limited editions, each is a hand-crafted work of art.
