Why did WWE decide to change four of their titles at Extreme Rules last night?
I can’t give you an exact answer behind the thinking of WWE creative. However, the title changes were done to keep people surprised. Extreme Rules was considered by many to be a throwaway gimmick show so creative made it newsworthy. There’s been talk of Rey Mysterio dropping the Intercontinental Championship to Chris Jericho since they started their program. Tommy Dreamer might be signing a new WWE contract as the company made his goal a reality when they booked him over Christian and Swagger. The World Heavyweight Championship changing two times was a creative swerve to get the belt back on CM Punk.
