back in the early days of Raw, when it was only an hour show, USA had it on before or after a show Called TekWar based on a series of Books by Shatner (and he was part of theTV show as well) for cross promotion Shatner appeared on Raw and he and Lawler worked a bit of an angle (i’m sure a WWE star did guest spot on the show as well) the result of which apparantly was a real life friendship between the two, and as such Shatner inducted him It’d be like if Cena and Dule Hill became best friends, and Dule were to come back in 20-25 years to induct Cena into the HoF
