Why did US join the Korean war?
We didn’t ‘join’ it, we started it. The Korean War was an attempt to make a unified country out of the divided North and South. We couldn’t let that happen so we jumped in and had a nice little fight till Ike decided that it was getting too hot to handle and went and ‘made peace’ with the North and put things back just the way they were before. The next year after the ‘peace’ Ike decided to stop the spread of communism in Viet Nam when the French got their tails kicked out at the battle of Dien Bien Phu (’54’) and that started the 20 year battle for Viet Nam which went the same way for us as it had gone for the French. Now we seem to be doing the same thing with the afghanis and iraqis…….
