This was because The Fox was supposed to get with Mercy (Deborah Van Valkenburgh) in the film but Swan (Michael Beck) had better on screen chemistry with Mercy. Q. What does Swan do with his knife after he takes it from Luther’s arm? A. He is cleaning it in Luther’s hair to remove the blood. Some people believe he is scalping Luther but if you look closely he is only cleaning the blade.
