The Tracker was made by Suzuki under a GM contract. As with many cars, 6-7 yrs of production was enough in that design. It wasn’t the safest car available at the time. So that may have had some influence. Those sold well, but not the top seller for GM when it did. It was a basic tin can so to speak w/ an under performing 4 cyl. Loud rough road noise & thin canvas top made it a bear to own in the Northern states. My sister had one for about 3 yrsw before she really got tired of being uncomfy in it. Plus her soft top was slashed by some schmuck.
