There was some other band that had a name that somehow used the word hybrid. And the band decided that instead of wasting time with legal issues they would just pick a new name. Why dont they have a bassist? Do they have a bassist? Who plays bass on “Hybrid Theory”? Honestly about 90% of the questions we get asked are about a bass player. Here is the deal. On “Hybrid Theory” there was several people that played bass. At that time tehy didn’t have a bass player in the band so they just hired people for each individual song that they needed. Then on their tour with KMK they hired a guy named Scott to tour with them and play bass. He wasn’t a part of the band. Just touring with ’em. Then when the band started their tour with P.O.D, they got together with a guy named Pheonix who was involved with the band way back in the day and now he is officially a part of the band. So to sum this up: Pheonix plays bass for Linkin Park. End of story. Now leave me alone. What does the name Linkin Park me
