Why did the world react with such emotional intensity to Michael Jacksons death?
I think a lot of it is guilt. Many people are responsible for putting Michael Jackson into the ground, and not just the press. The public was horrible to that man despite having been one of the world’s biggest humanitarians, and now that he’s dead people feel bad. It’s sad they didn’t care before that. As far as people reacting so strongly, his humanitarian work and entertainment did have a global impact everywhere, so it makes sense people would be so affected over people they don’t know at all. People grew up with this man since he was a child, so there’s obviously an emotional component for many people. I don’t think Michael was an ordinary person either, that’s why so many people care. He was a human being like others, but gave the world things they’d never seen before and humanitarian work that was so epic. It set a great example for many to live their lives in a better way.
