Why did the Treaty of Versailes cause WW2?

It did not cause world war 2, this is a very simplified and elementary view of history. I am amazed to find this erroneous interpretation still widely held, especially as it was one of Hitler’s excuses for his expansionism in the1930s which, incidentally, annexed territories that were never German , Austria and Czechoslovakia. Hitler also blamed the Jew and no- one believes that any more. A lot happened in Europe in the 20 years separating the two events and you need to study that , not just catapult from one event to a much later one. I recommend you read ‘Paris 1919’ by Margaret Macmillan, published by Random House, a prize-winning account of the Treaty and its aftermath.
