Why did the TGIF restaurant in Grapevine Texas close?
I can’t really answer that question and you probably won’t be able to find why without getting some firsthand information. First TGIF is a franchise – odds are that the one in Grapevine was owned by an individual, or a local company that owns multiple restaurant franchises. You may be able to find an article on this in your local paper, but you may not. For the best information, you will need to contact the owner of the franchise or the company that runs the local franchises – if you offered a tip I might look it up. My bet is that it was closed because it was not profitable to run, or the owner wanted to do something else and could not find a buyer in this economic climate. A more distant possibility is that the franchise did not go along with the franchise rules – this can cause a franchise to be shut down if the rule violation is big enough.
