Why did the tea act of 1773 anger the american colonists?
the tea act of 1773 anger the American colonists because it gave the British East India Company control over the American tea trade. Tea was very popular at that time and much of it was smuggled in from Holland, now the colonist who had not pay any tax on smuggled tea would no have to pay a tax on this regulated tea.
