Why did the store in East Hampton close?
Nine years ago, I sold the store to two of my former employees and unfortunately they decided to close it in November 2003 to go on to new ventures. I have so much work to do writing cookbooks and filming the television shows that I’m not able to take over running the store again. As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s a full-time job to run a good specialty food store. However, you can see some of the Barefoot Contessa products from the store on this website (go to”books” or “buy food”).
