Why did the sci fi channel change its abbreviation?
Their reason was because scifi genre of a show. They want to get out of that genre name and call themselves Syfy now. Basically those of that are not thrilled of the name change, figured its going to give them a more broader area to show movies and shows that are not related to scifi genre…good example of whats already on there…wrestling…its not scifi and shouldnt be there. I pretty much given up on watching scifi…i mean syfy. All the good shows are long gone, going to give the new Stargate series a chance but probably watch it from hulu.com instead.
