Salmonella contamination did not spread beyond Sesame Tahini items because of thorough clean-out procedures in our plant that are conducted prior to changing over to production of another seed/nut type. The production line is disassembled, each part is thoroughly cleaned, then the line is reassembled and ready to produce the next nut type.
