Why did the PPR Foundation decide to support Womens Rights?
In 2009, PPR Group decided to make a formal commitment in favour of women’s dignity and rights, with the following goals: – Advance key causes where an enterprise can play a decisive role by the side of public authorities. – “Promote gender equality and empower women”, one of the 8 UN Millennium Development Goals. – Structure PPR Group’s social commitment around topics related to the business, image and clientele of PPR brands. – Enhance the clarity and visibility of PPR’s action in terms of social sponsoring; – Pursue the Group’s decentralisation of initiatives in PPR brands and companies, while offering them continued assistance.
