Why did the New Users East homepage display funny in Firefox or Opera in its earliest versions?
The homepage uses html tables for layout and formatting. The more complicated the use of tables, the more likely display problems may occur in either in web browsers like MS Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera. I simplified my use of tables, keeping things simple, not requiring heaps of updating and fairly low-tech. Visual QuickStart: HTML (Peachpit Press) is a useful book, and there is accompanying website with example html. Visual QuickStart: Javascript is another good book, if really want to be more creative. It has companion website http://www.javascriptworld.com/. After 6 editions, maybe I should get a new, up-to-date edition….
