Why did the Microsoft Certified Professional ID (MCP ID) name change to Microsoft Certification ID (MC ID)?
A. Given the many ways that the certification ID name is used across our various web properties, communications, and/or vendor-owned sites, it was necessary for us to move to a more generic naming convention that allows for more flexibility in how we use the umbrella term. This change does not impact candidates in any way, and there are no additional steps you need to take in order for this change to occur.
