Why did the MGA launch The MGA Junior Golf Fund?
The success of the MGA Junior Golf Program has grown every year since 1992. The money raised by the Capital Campaign in 2001-02 helped the MGA purchase MGA Links at Mamantapett, which now serves as the home of The First Tee of Massachusetts and provides affordable junior membership and public play opportunities for individuals in the Norton area and beyond. In order to continue expanding the program offerings and reaching even more youth across the state, we need to establish a program that will provide annual financial support. We feel that this is a tremendous and affordable opportunity for avid golfers to “give back” to the game.
