Why did the limited warranty period change from three years to two?
We received a lot of feedback concerning warranty period. Some customers wanted a longer warranty period while others were not particularly interested in a long warranty but they wanted a lower price. The cost of providing standard warranty services is significant and is part of the price of the product. Therefore we decided to shorten the standard warranty period to 2 years and pass the savings along to the customer through lower product prices. At the same time we offered the option of purchasing extended warranty coverage for up to five years from the date that Kaleidescape ships the product. We believe that this will best serve the needs of all of our customers.
