Why did the last ice age end?

0

The last Ice Age should correctly be termed “The Current Ice Age”, because it isn’t over yet. An Ice Age is defined by ice caps at the poles, and there is currently an ice cap at both poles. What we are in is an “interglacial period”, when the ice caps are receding. Clearly “global warming” is obviously happening, the causes of which are multiple. A huge white ice cap reflects lots of sunlight back in to space. But it also stops a lot of ocean currents circulating. But the fact that global warming, or even cooling, are naturally occurring events does not change the possibility that mankind’s activities can be a contributory factor.
