Why did the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) create the Preferred Diabetic Supply List (PDSL)?
The IHCP created the PDSL to ensure that IHCP members receive the highest quality products at the lowest cost to the Indiana Medicaid program. Due to rebates, the net cost to the Indiana Medicaid program for the blood glucose monitors and diabetic test strips listed on the PDSL is lower than the cost of blood glucose monitors and diabetic test strips not listed on the PDSL.
