• Johannesburg is where the first and last games of the world cup will be held • It is where FIFA, the media and sponsors will be based. Because of this, we anticipate extra security measures will be taken by the local authorities in Johannesburg during the tournament • Majority of international flights land and depart from Johannesburg • The GGArmy has been able to secure the entire Nicol Hotel/Apartment complex ensuring our entire group is based together • 8 of the 10 World Cup stadiums are within driving distance of Johannesburg ensuring minimal additional internal travel costs However, the main reason we selected Johannesburg is because it truly will be the epicenter of fan activity during the world cup. Given that 8 of the 10 stadiums are within driving distance, the majority of fans from the 31 qualifying nations will base themselves in Johannesburg for the duration of the tournament.
