Why did the DOL create Workforce Connections Workforce Connections?

0

Workforce Connections began as an implementation of the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Co-Laboratory Initiative which is joint program between DOL and DoD. While serving as the acting director of the ADL Initiative, Will Peratino of the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Assistant Secretary for Policy, applied the ADL SCORM specification to produce a set of workforce productivity tools designed to support the 21st century worker in the 21st century worklplace. Workforce Connections is a content creation and management set of tools that are compliant with both the ADL SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended.
