Why did the continuity announcers have to go on BBC Radio Scotland?
Continuity announcers used to read some of our radio bulletins. Now they are all read by journalists. We are following a principle that it’s best for journalists to read news bulletins – a change we made on telly a while back. It brings us into line with working practices in nearly every other radio station.
