Why did The Cleaning Service Directory add a bidding system to rank its members?
As of 3/1/04, the Cleaning Service Directory changed the way it ranks it’s members due to many reasons. The most important reason was from feedback from it’s advertisers. Many advertisers didn’t feel it was fair to rank other members higher just because their name started with a particular letter and wanted more ways to increase their exposure…. And we responded. If you ever have an idea for the directory, please be sure to let us know, as we take feedback very seriously and ALL feedback sent to us is read. The Cleaning Service Directory was also getting many listing change requests with advertisers attempting to place an “A” in front of their listing’s title for no other reason than to bring their listing closer to the top. This has been draining our resources, and we try hard to keep our cost low for everyone, so this was the only reasonable way to solve the problem that would be fair to everyone.
