Why did the CAEN lab printer only print the first 100 pages of my job?
Since CAEN lab printers are a community resource, we ask that you split up large or complex print jobs into smaller sections. This helps avoid tying up printers for extended periods of time. When you swipe your Mcard at a CAEN lab printer, the accounting system authorizes your account to print up to 100 pages. If you print or copy all 100 pages, the card reader will log you out. If you swipe your Mcard again within 60 seconds of being logged out, the card reader will authorize up to another 100 pages and the printer will continue printing your job. If you do not swipe your Mcard within 60 seconds of being logged out, your job will be deleted from the printer. If your job is deleted after only part of it was printed, you may wish to print the remaining pages by entering the desired page range in your application’s “Print” dialog box. For more information on the printer card readers, please see the Using the Card Readers section of this web site.
