Why did the Buffalo Sabres change their jerseys to the blue and gold?
The question is really, why did they change _back_ to blue and gold. Those are of course the team’s original colours that they wore from inception in 1970 until 1996 when they switched to the red and black buffalo’s head. That change didn’t go over too well (though I personally think the red and black was an improvement…) among the Sabre faithful. So now, a decade later (just as people were getting used to the new logo) the Sabres switched jerseys again, going back to blue and yellow. Except they brought in a new logo as well, which may or may not rank as one of the all time worst logos in professional sports history. So anyways, the Sabres changed their jerseys to appeal to their old school fans, except they flubbed it by choosing the buffalug as their logo.
