You make the mistake of thinking that Britain is a democracy and the government enacts the will of the people. We are actually an elective dictatorship, or more properly an elective oligarchy, and the electorate is considered little more than a hindrance they have to put up with. Our politicians have no interest in what you or I think and would much rather not know, other than near election time so that they can avoid anything contentious, thus we are virtually never asked for our opinion. New Labour decided that in the interests of combating prejudice, fostering multiculturalism, building up their electoral base (most of our new brothers are natural Labour voters), providing low cost labour, setting political traps for the conservatives and ‘doing the right thing’ mass immigration was an excellent idea. We, the electorate, were specifically excluded from any consultation because they were very well aware that there is an approximate 60% of the population against immigration per se and
