Why did the bottle melt when I sterilized it using the Microwave Sterilization Bag or the Microwave Sterilization Case?
The Microwave Sterilization Bag and Microwave Sterilization Case are products that sterilize bottles and accessories by converting the water inside the bag or case to steam using electromagnetic waves. Normally, the Bag or Case is filled with steam until sterilization is complete (when the temperature inside reaches about 100℃), but if the electromagnetic waves are concentrated in one spot for some reason, the items inside the case, including glass or plastic nursing bottles, may be deformed or even melt. This can happen if: • There is dirt or residue on the container or bag; or there is dirt or residue on the turntable. • You did not use enough water. • You heated the container or bag longer than the specified time. Excessive overheating may cause the container or its internal parts to catch fire.
