Why did the bids in the bid history “jump” by more than the $3 bid increment?

Whenever you place a Bid it will be entered at the lowest possible winning amount. Whenever you see a jump in the bids, this is because two users are using the Proxy Bid system and the two Proxy Bids are going against each other. This will show up as a jump in the bid history, and the higher of the two Proxy Bids will be listed at $3 above the lower Proxy Bid. If the two Proxy Bids happen to be within $3 of each other, the higher of the two Proxy Bids will be listed at its full value. This is the only time in the Playerscores.com bidding system that someone can win a bid by less than the bid increment.
