Why did the automatic layout utility not find a good layout for my given pole configuration, minimum footcandle level, and average footcandle level?
The automatic layout utility uses simple layouts to try and find an optimum design. This design is a meant to be a good starting point, but you will have to modify this design to fit your exact needs. The fixture/pole configuration you are using may not be right for the results desired. For example a 1000W fixture mounted on a 30 foot pole will not work well for a design that needs a 1.0 fc minimum level, but only a 3.0 fc average level.
