Why did the audi a4 and a6 have so many brake problems last year?”

I have had much the same problem with my 02 A4 TDi, brakes sticking on in very cold weather. The first time I had the brake fluid changed. After the second time an Audi specialist said they had drained a cup full of water from the servo and replaced a pipe. The problem returned with the next cold morning. It seems to me to be a poor design that water can pool and be sucked up by the servo. (This is my fourth Audi, the first A80 was still going strong after 260,000 miles, the second only had two minor problems and both caused by servicing. The third was not so good and this one has seen the most problems. Perhaps there is a pattern here?) I have Emailed Audi but not heard back from them yet.
