Why did the assassination franz ferdinand lead to world war 1?
He was the next-in-line guy for the throne of Austria-Hungary. The ruler of Austria-Hungary was really old, and he got ticked off when Ferdinand got killed because he didn’t have any children so he didn’t have anybody else to pass his throne down to. Austria-Hungary lashed out at Serbia(nationality of assassin), Serbia had a treaty with somebody, they had a treaty with somebody else, etc.etc.
