Good question. You say “The Pyramid” but which are you referring to? There are some 81 and 112 pyramids in Egypt alone and this does not include the pyramids that are to the south and in other parts that were built in what was then part of their kingdom that is now no longer Egypt (Sudan, for example). When people speak of the pyramids of Egypt or the “Great Pyramids” they narrow it down to the pyramids of the Giza Necropolis because it has the largest of pyramids – the Great Pyramid, also called the Pyramid of Cheops and the Pyramid of Khufu (as it was built by King Khufu). I will not bore you with all the details of this mighty structure, but let’s just say it’s VERY big and is only remaining monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
