Why did the Altiris agent not get properly installed on my DMC server?
During the DMC install, the Altiris agent is installed on the DMC server. This agent is important to the correct operation of the product. You should see an agent icon in your system tray. If the agent did not get installed, you may need to check the SIM install logs under the %temp% directory. In the past, we’ve seen that some IT environments disable the download of executable files. As part of the install, the Altiris agent exe is ‘downloaded’ in order to install on the DMC box. If this is blocked by the Windows security policies, the agent won’t be installed and the install will fail.
