The answer is that this is all Urban Legend he didn’t do Herion he is not dead and he might have went to college but despite all in all I also think that Steve does a better job at being Steve than Joe does of being Joe.

The actor who played Steve committed suicide, when they decided to send hm to college and replace him with Joe, his younger brother.

Steve Burns left the show to try and persue his music career. He is actually on tour right now and still makes guest appearances on the show every once in awhile. According to the show though, Steve actually went to college which is why Joe is now taking care of Blue.
