Why did St. Joseph Hospital merge with Sisters of Charity Hospital?
In 2007, New York State’s “Commission on Health Care Facilities for the 21st Century” recommended changes to hospitals in Western New York with goals of improving patient care while better managing healthcare costs in our region. By merging under the name Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus, the facility you know as St. Joseph Hospital will be better able to leverage the hospital’s staff and services for their patients. St. Joseph Hospital will continue to serve our members under the name “Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus.
