Why did Sports Illustrated photoshop Danica Patricks tramp stamp tattoo out?
Sports Illustrated, like other magazines, wants to sell as many magazines and gain as many online viewers as possible. To do this they cater to the most common denominator when it comes to women. The majority of men do not find tattoos attractive and so it is removed from the images. The reason this works well is because even the men that do like tattoos probably won’t know it is missing and therefore Sports Illustrated really has nothing to lose by removing it and has something to gain by doing so. I am also including an image for future answerers because the one in the question is from a site that does not allow hotlinking.
