Why did SIS develop a program with UPEACE?
SIS has a long-standing relationship with UPEACE through our NRSD graduate dual degree program. UPEACE’s emphasis on environmental sustainability matches our commitment to ecological stewardship and social justice, as represented by our school’s future home in a building constructed with environmentally friendly materials and incorporating natural lighting. In addition to development and sustainability, topics that attract many students from the GEP and ID fields, the curriculum at UPEACE also focuses on peace and conflict resolution, so it fits well with the academic plans of students in the IPCR field.
