Sir Humphry Davy born on 17th December was a well known British Chemist as well as physicist. His curiosity as well as interest towards the field of medicine made him takes up the field of medicine. He was born in Penzance, Cornwall, United Kingdom. His brother as well as cousin Edmund Davy was also well known chemist. Davy became well known because of his researches on physiological reaction of certain gases, which also comprised of the laughing gas, to which he was addicted. In the year 1812 Davy was knighted and presented a goodbye lecture to the Royal Institution. He later went to marry a wealthy widow, by the name Jane Apreece. Over the period of year Davy injured his vision in a laboratory accident with nitrogen trichloride.
