The Unlimited SDP was created in the 1990’s for use on Novell networks. At this time networks had a maximum number of concurrent users of 256, and Revelation’s model followed this. When the NT drivers were later introduced, the model was kept the same. Also, when OpenInsight was first released, network and product limitations made it unlikely to be run on larger installations. Since the first release of OpenInsight, we have seen major strides in technology in regards to the capabilities of OpenInsight, increased performance of networks, as well as the rise in the use of the web. With all this improvement in technology as well as our product, there is now no more reason to continue with a model where our maximum user count is 256.
