RCMP seize hundreds of counterfeit goods from Halifax business (CP) – 4 hours ago HALIFAX, N.S. — Counterfeit sunglasses, hats, wallets, jewelry and other items have been seized by police from a Halifax business. Officers from the RCMP’s federal enforcement section confiscated about 400 items Thursday. Scarfs bearing names such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Coach and Burberry were among the items seized. The search resulted from a lengthy investigation that involved products being purchased, then analyzed to prove their authenticity. The selling of counterfeit products is a violation of the Copyright Act and the Criminal Code.
