Why Did Qwest Refuse?

Wallace Judd – Denver, Colo. If this is really no big deal then why did Qwest refuse to turn over their records? Evidently Qwest thought it was illegal for the NSA to offer them money for their customers’ private data. In fact Qwest demanded that the NSA go to the FISA and get approval. The NSA refused and Qwest balked. The rest of the phone companies accepted money from the NSA in exchange for compromising their customers privacy. Customers that have called their phone company to ask if their data has been sold or their line been tapped only get the canned answer of “we don’t comment on matters of national security.” They obviously have something to hide.
