Why did QuickPay create a new checking account when processing the first paycheck?
QuickPay will create a new checking account if the account entered in the Set Up Company screen does not exist. If you meant to have paychecks written from an existing account, and they were written from the newly established account you don’t want, the easiest way to resolve this is to remove the paychecks from the erroneous checking account and rewrite them. To do this, follow these steps: • Open the new Quicken checking account that was created by QuickPay. • Delete each of the paychecks in this account. All transfers to other accounts must also be removed. Get to the point where the account balance is zero. • Choose Account from the List menu to open the Account List so you can now delete this account. Delete by selecting (highlighting) the account in the account list, and then click the delete button on the toolbar. • Open QuickPay, then choose Set Up Company from the File menu. • In the Set Up Company window, find the Bank Account field. Choose the bank account you want to write
