Prince Harry went to Afghanistan because he is a Sandhurst trained combat officer and he wanted to do his duty. He is to respected for putting himself in danger that most of us would shy from. It wasn’t a photo op at all until it was leaked by the Australian press that he was actually there. Then it was the decision of the MOD to pull him out – not his. He was both disappointed and disgusted about having to leave. Your question (if it can be called as such) is opinionated and disappointing – I think you should know a bit more about the Royals and their history of serving in conflicts before you make such bold statements about their reasons for going over into a combat zone – which I’m certain, even if not front lines, is a lot closer than you’ve ever been to combat.
