Why did political parties appear in the U.S. shortly after the adoption of the Constitution?
Answer Dear Lynzi: Sorry for the delay in answering your question but here goes. I believe that the genesis of political parties was birth during the first continental congress with the separation along ideological lines amongst the attendees, later know as the founding fathers. The federalist papers, bill of rights and the Declaration of independence formed a basis for discussion and alliances among the leaders. Other issues such as enslavement, women suffrage, national banking, voting, taxation, religion, etc… Began to draw clear, but not insurmountable opposition. Instead, we find the birth of political ideology, later know as political parties. Capre’ Diem, Dr. Kevin L Young, ThM, Ph.D.
