Why did NSAC not simply join Dalhousie or another university as a faculty of Agriculture?
The proposed legislation was chosen because it helps NSAC continue with its current mandate, faculty, staff and students yet deliver the benefits of a more independent governance model. It does not preclude a merger with Dalhousie or other institutions in the future if the Board and others deem a merger to be in the best interests of NSAC stakeholders.
