But some private companies ran commuter buses on limited schedules Friday morning. Morning runs were canceled by some bus companies that serve the northwest part of the state. Academy Bus, which has runs on Route 36, Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway, provided limited service Friday morning. “We operated about half of our normal service this morning and carried about a third of our normal ridership,” said Greg Rhodes, Academy Bus marketing manager In North Jersey, Lakeland Bus resumed limited service on some lines at noon Friday.
