Why did my “Born Again” Christian friend have to tell me that “mentally challenged” people go to hell?

Your friend didn’t tell you that if he’s a real Christian. If you consider your friend different than you because he’s a “born again” Chiristian, then you are the one who’s not a Christian. Many Catholics are Christians, but not the ones who insist that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, that the priest has the ability to revoke your salvation, and that you must confess to a priest to absolve your sins. Jesus Christ took care of that job on the cross. For a priest to claim that ability or authority is the epitome of arrogance and scriptural ignorance.

Your friend is mentally challenged, but luckily, there’s no such thing as hell after death.

Obviously your born again friend is mentally challenged himself. (But a nice, Roman Catholic girl should not be using the word “bollocks” in polite company).

What is your question?
